NEWS: LIL BLAKE SLEEPS IN HIS CRIB!

Well...blogging is a little more time consuming than I thought...and more technical! I am a "less is more" kind of person, so I am using only what this blogger thing offers versus trying to watch youtube videos of how to make a picture my background. So far so good...I don't think my blog looks too shabby!

Alright, let's catch up. So lil b has been at his daycare for almost two weeks and I must give my kid some credit- he is very adaptable to change! I am so proud of the way he handled the switch. And the best part- Rachel, the caretaker, has sleep trained him for naps! Which gave me the strength to finally remove lil b from our bed! I know, I know, you thought this day would never come (well I didn't either)! After a few fat lips, numerous bruises, and plenty of interrupted sleep patterns, we have transitioned lil b to his crib!!! And once again, I must commend my awesome child for adapting to this change as well! This is what we did:

We finally stuck to a routine....and although I treasure our family bed moments, I will start this routine thing way earlier with the next baby (don't hold me to this!). Lil b eats dinner, we play with whatever he wants (this is usually chasing Big B in and out of his tent and tunnel), he takes a bath (his new thing is to soak the momma!), then we have some milk and read books in his room- quietly. THEN I lay him down in his crib, say goodnight, and let him cry (the worst part ever)...but then he falls asleep and I reap the benefits of a full night's rest sans fat lips and bruises.  It's not rocket science, but it's just as tough :).

Blogging Project 2010

After indulging in blogs during free time, I decided that I would give in and try it out. This is a typical trend of mine- you know, to start a project with such motivation and forget about it in two weeks. Not this time! And what a better way to keep in touch with friends and family? Or at least for them to check in from time to time to see what's going on...that's what I'm telling myself.

I blame this urge to blog on my dear friend Chelsea LeChatelier who blogs a couple times a week about her family...and I admit it, I feel like I know what's going on in her life weekly and I don't call (sorry Chels! Love you and miss you and your fam tons!). I also checked out some of her favorite blogs; my favorite ones being about moms who are awesome about saving money (another project I am taking on this weekend! Woo hoo coupon binder!) Kristin, my bff, is going to roll her eyes when I tell her I started a blog, but I guarantee you that she will also indulge in reading it! Ha, we know each other too well.

Here's a brief synopsis of 2010: Atlantic City, Blake's 15 month check up (26.8lbs, 32.25inches long!), Kristin's 26th birthday, trip to Raleigh for some Pyle time, new daycare for LB (thanks Sienna), and Vy popped the big question...to me! (yes, I am the newest Matron of Honor...dun dunn dunnnnn).

Highlights of 2010: QT with the hubster, QT with the bff, dance party with Sienna, Moroccan Chicken, Brixx Pizza, researching jobs of a MOH, thankfulness that the new daycare is awesome.
Now to work on this blogging thing.

NYE in Atlantic City...yes, we are in the hotel bathroom. Sad.
